 Chaka Khan is an American artist and singer with a net worth of $30 million. Chaka Khan is frequently referred to as the "Queen Of Funk-Soul". Khan is a 10 time Grammy Award Winner whose career has lasted for more than 40 years. She was raised in a bohemian creative family living in Chicago, Illinois. She is the youngest of five kids born to beatniks Charles Stevens and Sandra Coleman. Khan was a huge lover of rhythm and music from the age of. She was a member of the Black Panther Party in 1967 after becoming friends with Fred Hampton, a Chicago native. She was given the name Chaka Adunne Hodarhi Karifi when she was 13 by Yoruba Baba. Khan left the Black Panthers in 1969 and dropped out of high school in 1969. She began performing in small groups throughout the Chicago area.The remainder of the decade, the band continued to enjoy the success of eight platinum albums. The group gained a lot of attention as a live performing act and Khan was the most talked about performer due to her vibrant stage attire and powerful vocals.
